Elings Park Wedding
This Elings Park wedding venue was so fun to photograph and WOW! The incredible views of the city and ocean are ridiculously good from the top of the hills. We began the wedding day for Tatianna and Matt with some photos of them getting ready. They rented a huge mansion up in the hills of Santa Barbara, California. All of their bridesmaids and groomsmen spent the night and partied together before and after the wedding. The home was just like out of a magazine. It was multiple stories, 360 degree views of mountains, ocean views, and everything in between. Flowers surrounded the outside of the house and there were multiple balconies throughout.
The wedding took place in the fall, so Tatianna had her bridesmaids in maroon and it matched perfectly with the season. Her wedding gown is from the designer Morilee. It is perfect for her. We had a blast getting creative with the home and taking lots of photos before heading to Elings Park for the ceremony.
The Wedding
Once everyone was ready, Tatianna got in the car with us and we drove her to the ocean overlook at the top of the hill in Elings Park for her first look with Matt. The emotion when they saw each other was so wonderful; just one reason we love first look photos so much. Their ceremony took place down at the theater area of the park. The location is in the shade by a huge amount of beautiful oak trees.
Once the ceremony ended everyone headed uphill for cocktail hour and a beautiful reception. We were able to steal the couple away about 30 minutes before sunset and drive back up to their first look location. Boy, was it worth it! The light was so red that evening, it was like mars was burning through the sky. The experience was so surreal and it was peaceful and quite, as we had the entire spot to ourselves.
It was such a fun experience heading out to this Elings Park wedding in Santa Barbara and being able to check out so much beauty in this charming area. If you are engaged and on the hunt for a SoCal venue, there are so many epic locations to get married at in Santa Barbara County. Elliot and I hope to see Tatianna and Matt the next time we head down to Southern California. They were wonderful to work with and we wish them all the best in all their future adventures together.
