A Nomadic Love

Liliana and Wyatt are literal goals!

This is a session that I will hold close to my heart forever. We photographed these two for their engagement session in Ranchos Palos Verdes west of Los Angeles and everything about the session was raw to the complete core and full of emotion. The day was full with so much energy and excitement due to mother nature!

Originally, Elliot and I planned to start this engagement session early in the morning to beat the predicted forecast of rain later in the day. When we got up to the location, it was completely sunny and there were zero clouds in the sky (thank you weather man). We waited it out, as clouds began to roll in. Finally, we began the session around noon time. Liliana had found this amazing hidden location in the heart of Ranchos Palos Verdes a few weeks before and sent me photos via text.

The hike down in Ranchos Palos Verdes.

As we began walking down the paved path of the cliff-side, we saw a different way to go that looked even better, so we decided to take it (surprise surprise). It was quite a sketchier way to go, but we were all up to the challenge. Repelling with a rope that had been tied to the top of the cliff and our bear hands, we made it all the way down to this hidden crevice of a rock formation tunnel surrounded by ocean.

The weather quickly shifted as we reached the bottom and the shape of the formation we were photographing in created an insanely windy environment as the clouds poured through the sky. The wind was bouncing all around in such an intense way. We told these two to embrace it and the excitement began. (Elliot and I love the wind). As photographers, we were like kids in a candy store. The movement in the photos we began creating was so raw and real. The outcome of this session was an insane amount of passionate and creative shots.

We are so happy that Liliana and Wyatt trusted in our unique vision for the photo shoot and were completely down to go with the flow. This couple is so in love and the gentle and playful nature that they have is something for all couples to envy. They are some of the nicest humans and we had such a wonderful time with them. Congratulations to these two on a lifetime of happiness and adventuring!
