Brittany and I originally met about 6 years ago, when we were both bridesmaids for a mutual friend’s wedding. We immediately clicked and became friends! She is such a beautiful person inside and out and every time she is around, her positive energy lights up the room. Who knew years later, I would be photographing her elopement in Newport, Rhode Island at Castle Hill Inn Lighthouse!
After Brittany and Rodney’s engagement the plans begin! Brittany mentioned how they wanted to elope on the east coast. I am originally from Cape Cod. All my family is still on the east coast so I really enjoy helping. We narrowed to a few different locations including Rhode Island and Cape Cod. When I found out Rodney loved sailing, I knew Newport, Rhode Island would be the perfect spot for their elopement, since it is the sailing capital of the world!
The elopement was one we will all hold close to our hearts forever! They wed in front of the Castle Hill Inn lighthouse, beneath the most beautiful hazy sunset. Elliot and I were able to sign the marriage license as their two witnesses, which was so exciting for all of us! The next evening, they took us on a sunset sailing adventure with Hope San sailing company. What amazing weather we had! The evening went from complete fog on the water to a spectacular sunset, that we were all able to witness together!
Elliot and I are so happy for Brittany and Rodney. I believe it won’t be long until they are back visiting Newport again for another adventure together! We wish them all the happiness in the world and a big congratulations on their new life together! If you are interested in our elopements you can see our elopement packages here!
Thank you for choosing us to see Newport, RI and Narragansett Bay.
Was a beautiful sail with 2 newly weds and 2 great photographers.
This is stunning! I would love to know how to get in touch with someone about doing this exact same thing. I got engaged in Newport, RI this past June and want to elope there now
